!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This is incredibly reasonably priced. I’d debate selling mine to get in this one with half the mileage for $1000 more. Especially since my top just ripped
UPDATE: or this one

That’s gorgeous. Too bad it’s not automatic. Or rather, good thing it’s not, so I don’t have to day dream about it .

If you don’t mind giant holes in the body, this supercharged NA is mighty appealing.

Ooo, that’s pretty. Nab that for me, and I’ll be by at Christmas time to pick it up. Anybody’ll tell you I’m good for it...wait, another manual...dammit.

Seriously. But I've been lurking and posting here so long I only accept miatas and v6 mustangs as currency

The ‘01 is nice, especially for that price. Would inspect for rust given the location.
The ‘00 SE is...interesting. Not digging the aftermarket wheels nor the style bar but it’s very presentable overall for a Miata with 150,000 miles on it. The mis-matched shift knob and steering wheel to the parking brake handle has my curiosity. ‘00 SE should have a dark mahogany wood as the parking brake handle. I’m surprised if that wheel is the original but just very faded. The shift knob looks like it came off of the ‘01 SE with its brighter wood. The non-factory floor mats are decent too. $3,900 is a little bit strong for a Miata with that many miles. Low-mile Special Editions are for those “drive on weekends with no chance of rain” types. High-mile SEs do make for great supercharged or turbo builds because of the stouter 6-speed!

Texas is full of miatas that don’t have rust whatsoever. You don’t really want a supercharged one anyway. None of the supercharg ing options were very good, and that Jackson Racing kit was probably the worst of them. A small, quick spooling turbo is a vastly better power solution.

FYI that specific Miata has been on the Indy Craigs since last year IIRC

Thanks for the sane perspective. I must have been blinded by the blue.
Honestly, when I daydream about convertibles, much of that time is spent on Miatas. I don’t know if I’ ll ever really be able to get one, but that test drive in the ND made a big impression.

That kind of tells you something. That’s okay, as I was just reminded, there are rust-free example here if I e ver really find the scratch.

Do you use hand controls?

Haven’t you heard? Nobody wants Miatas anymore, two e- Golfs GTI is are the new golden child ren of Oppo!
Considering how many Oppos somehow go to the VW dealer and drive out with two e-Golfs...FIFY!

I assume that means either auto or otherwise flappy paddle gear box. In that case, I would strongly recommend an NC or ND when the time comes. The 4 speed auto in an NA/NB really kills the soul of the car. An NA with the 4 speed is a properly slow car. The six speed auto in an NC makes for a vastly better car, with enough gears and power to get out of its own way and be entertaining. I would imagine an auto NC will become pretty affordable down the road, as there is so little demand for automatic miatas.

Good info, thanks. I’m not a big fan of the NC’s looks, but I could probably get over that if the price and circumstances are right. I do know that the auto in the ND did not get in the way of me having a blast. Sadly, by the time I can get any Miata (when the daughter’s college is safely paid, perhaps), NDs may actually be cheap.

I agree on the NC. I’m not actually a fan of really anything about the NC, but they’re the one to have (at less than new car prices) with an auto.

I paid that much for a used Jackson Racing supercharger kit for my Civic... And I got it for half what the new kit cost.
With this you get a car, free. And already installed.
That hole could be DIY fixed, and the panel rattle can painted black - would look fine.

Thank goodness, maybe now people will stop listing 200k NAs on eBay shocks for 6k. The market has been rediculous recently.

Yes. Superchargers are nice tho...
